The BGWA is hosting a MEMBERS-ONLY Interpretive Walk with Lenore Keeshig. Lenore is a traditional Anishinaabe storyteller, poet, and award-winning author from the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
The hike is several kilometres long and will require sturdy shoes. Bring a lunch, water, and hat. If you want to turn back early, you are welcome to.
Date: Monday June 26 from 10 AM to 1 PM
Location: Meet at the intersection of Boundary Road and Sydney Bay Road (Google map link). Directions from Wiarton are below:
- Follow Highway 6 north from Wiarton, turn right on Bruce Road 9 towards Colpoys Bay
- Continue on Bruce Road 9 until Bruce Road 18 (turn right).
- Turn left onto Purple Valley Road
- Turn right onto McIver Road.
- Follow McIver Road to the corner of Boundary Road.
