Schmidt Lake Parking Lot (https://goo.gl/maps/4BxUx6UkAHt2PwsL7). Please note this is not the first parking lot that you will come to that has the large sign with a map, keep following Schimdt Lake road to the north, take the next driveway to the west, before the house.

Directions: Please remember that the Chepstow Road is still closed in Chepstow, approach from Cargill, head south turn west onto Schmidt Lake Road follow around three bends to driveway before house at the end of the road.

Description: We will explore the upland hardwood forest of the Schmidt Lake property that has been actively managed by SVCA. These upland hardwoods have been very productive and support a wide variety of wildlife. SVCA staff have marked and monitored the harvest of this forest for two cycles. We will also check out the floating boardwalk view of the lake. The walk will be easy with mainly level terrain. There should be lots of opportunity for discussion.
