Due to a high likelihood of a high volume of rain, the Jun 4th event has been moved to the following Sunday, Jun 11th (same time). If you have previously registered and cannot attend please use the form to UN-register. If you could not make the Jun 4 date but are good for Jun 11 now’s your chance 🙂 register instantly by using the online form.
Gather at the intersection of Lindenwood and Moles roads (click for Google Maps location) by 2PM on Sunday, June 11th. From there we will access the adjacent woodlot property, either carpooling in vehicles with 4WD and/or hiking in. The tour will last approx 2 hours. Rain or shine.
This is an excellent opportunity to view several management approaches to pine and spruce monoculture planted in the early 1990s: thinning, pruning, hardwood plantings, and more. Forester Kevin Predon and the BGWA property owner will be our guides to interpret and discuss what has worked more and less, and how you might adapt some approaches to your woodlands.
Advance registration is not required, but is appreciated to help us plan. Also, by registering you will receive notification of any changes.
You will not receive an email confirmation. After you click Submit, once you see “Message Sent” you know it was successful.
